As often said :"The letter kills and the spirit gives life".
I would replace this sentence and would say :
The figurative kills and the abstract gives life !

Who takes all in Figurative is at the same time without intelligence and without humour.
Who, on the contrary, is able to see the second degree which hides behind
the Abstract is not only intelligent but generous.

This capacity is what we call "the thought", i.e.
the Art to make go beyond the colors and the forms
by the colors and by the form.

Our life is often deprived of it.
Hence the narrow-minded materialist, without humour, even violent side of our human relations.

Also it is important to put the thought back in our lives by criticizing the Figurative,
in order not to take the things as they are painted.
